Information we collect

When you join our waitlist or register an account, we collect the following personal details:

• Account Registration & Google Sign-In: When registering directly or signing in with Google, we receive basic authentication details—specifically your verified email address, full name, and authentication identifier—to create and secure your account without storing your password.
• Profile Picture (Optional): If you authenticate via Google or manually upload an image, your profile photo may be displayed in your profile settings. You can modify or remove it at any time.
• Voice Captures & Tasks: Voice recordings, generated transcripts, structured reminder tasks, and preferred callback times.

Google API user data policy

Memoring allows users to authenticate using Google Sign-In. We only request access to basic identity scopes (such as your name, email address, and profile photo) necessary to verify your identity and manage your session.

Memoring’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data to serve advertisements, and we do not sell or share Google account information with third parties. You can disconnect Memoring from your Google account at any time through your Google Security Settings.

Device permissions we require

To deliver seamless voice interaction and proactive phone-like reminder calls, Memoring requests the following device permissions:

• Microphone / Audio Recording: Required to record and interact with the AI assistant when capturing voice notes and thoughts.
• Notifications: Required to deliver timely reminder alerts, incoming call notifications, and system updates.
• Appear on Top (Display Over Other Apps): Required on supported devices so high-priority reminder calls can display full-screen over other apps, ensuring critical reminders cut through the noise.
• Alarms & Reminders: Required to schedule precise, time-sensitive reminder alarms and callbacks, even when the device is idle or in power-saving mode.

Audio storage and 24-hour deletion

All audio recordings and user data are encrypted and securely stored on our servers during processing. We believe your voice data should not linger:

• 24-Hour Audio Purge: Once the immediate processing is completed (such as when your capture is transcribed or marked as processed), the raw audio recording is permanently deleted from our servers within 24 hours.
• Private Task History: The resulting text note, structured tasks, and deadline details remain saved in your account for future reference. Only you can view and manage your saved tasks.

How we use your information

We use your information exclusively to transcribe your thoughts, structure action items, schedule reminder calls, provide customer support, and communicate essential service updates. We do not sell your personal data.

Your tasks and personal thoughts are never used for marketing, advertising, or profiling. If you choose to opt in to our optional App Improvement & Data Sharing program, anonymized usage telemetry and diagnostics may be used solely to monitor app reliability and improve features. Even when enabled, this data is strictly kept in-house and never shared with third parties.

Cloud and on-device processing

When an active internet connection is available, voice notes may be processed by secure cloud speech-to-text and language models for high-fidelity transcription and formatting. When you are offline or in low-network areas, Memoring falls back to on-device edge processing so your notes remain safe and functional.

Your choices

You can review, correct, or update the personal information associated with your account, or unsubscribe from product communications at any time. If you need assistance, our team is always available through our Support page.

Account deletion
